Christian Vigil, NCSA Student Athlete: Fall Ball

November 4th, 2008 - by NCSA Student Athlete

I recently attended a baseball showcase in Mesa Arizona; towards the end of September, it was my first showcase as a freshman. I loved it, I was excited to show my talent and I also understand now what I needed to work on. As a lefty Christian Vigilpitcher I did get some attention, however I need to work on my change and get better at rotating my hand when delivering the change up. I loved talking to college coaches and loved the idea of playing college ball one day. I know I can pitch and my hitting is getting better, I do need to work on conditioning and speed. I now want to work harder, and continue to perform in preparation of my high school debut. When time comes, I will be ready to showcase my skills to college and high school coaches to earn my spot on the team.

The fall season of baseball is almost over and then it will be truly off-season. However the off-season means more work and I will be developing my skills as a baseball player. While my friends are out at the football games, I am working out in the gym thinking one day it will all pay off. When the time comes I will be ready to showcase my skills to collage coaches and making the high school team.
